The CheckIT Engine

Materials Intelligence, built to last and built to remember.

Every system in construction records what happened. The CheckIT Engine computes what should have happened — line by line, on every invoice, bid, change order, and estimate.

ERPs record the budget. AP tools route the invoice. PM software tracks the schedule. None of them compute the financial truth — whether the number on the document matches the deal that was signed. The engine does, and it gets sharper with every document it runs.

One engine, from the first estimate to the last lien waiver.

Every job runs on two tracks that barely talk to each other — project management on one side, AP/AR finance on the other. Money leaks in the gap between them. The CheckIT Engine sits in that gap, working from one verified data layer across every phase of the job.

  • 01Pre-Con

Price the estimate from your own verified cost history — so you bid work you can actually deliver at a profit.

  • 02Procurement

Level every bid at line-item scope and award on the real number, not the one that only looks lowest.

  • 03Execution

Verify each invoice against the quote, contract, and change order before it ever gets paid.

  • 04Change management

Validate change orders against the agreement before you sign — catch markup creep before it lands.

  • 05Closeout

Every verified number rolls up, so you reconcile and release retention on a clean, auditable trail.

Same engine, every stage. The quote you level in procurement becomes the baseline the invoice is checked against. The invoices you verify become the cost reality your next estimate is priced from. Use it anywhere on the job, and every other stage gets sharper.

LLMs hallucinate. Math doesn’t.

So we built CheckIT as two engines in one — like a hybrid machine with a deterministic engine for the torque and an AI engine for the horsepower. One does the part you have to be able to trust. The other does the part that saves you hours. Neither is trusted with the other’s job.

The torque · deterministic core

Reads, structures, verifies.

A proprietary document-intelligence engine reads every quote, invoice, bid, and rate sheet your vendors send, structures it into one verified data layer, and checks each line against the baseline you agreed to. This half has to be exact — so it’s pure math: the same inputs return the same answer, every time.

  • Transparent, reproducible math — traceable to the exact source line and dollar
  • One auditable data layer, built from your own documents
  • Human in the loop — the engine proves what’s wrong; you decide

The horsepower · AI action layer

Turns findings into action.

Once the core has the facts, generative AI does what it’s genuinely good at: drafting the dispute email, surfacing the insight, building the dashboard. It acts on the results — it never touches the verification math. That’s the line we won’t cross: the math stays out of the model’s hands.

  • Control over your data — your margins are yours, not training data
  • Control over the logic — configured to how you actually run
  • Control over the memory — vendor patterns and price history that compound as you scale

Because the heavy lifting is deterministic, the engine leans on AI only where AI belongs. It runs lean — not a GPT-wrapper burning tokens to guess at math it can’t be trusted to do — and every flag still holds up in a vendor dispute, because nothing is a black box. Put the flag, the invoice, and the contract in one email, and the credit comes back.

Purpose-built for construction.

A general-purpose tool treats your invoice like any other document. The CheckIT Engine doesn’t. It’s built for how construction money actually moves — cost codes, retainage, change orders, rate sheets, progress draws — because that’s where the pain is provable and the cost data runs deepest. A tool made for construction beats a general-purpose one every time.

Where the Engine connects

The Engine works day one with zero integration — documents in, verified results out. Connections push those verified results into the systems a business already runs.
